This year NAGARA will offer Annual Conference Travel Awards to members. The awards will range from full-conference scholarships (registration + travel/lodging costs), to registration scholarships, to lodging assistance.

Travel Award Criteria

Applicants Must:

  • Be active members of NAGARA.
  • Be professionals with archival or records management responsibilities, working for a government entity which lacks funding to send employees to conferences.
  • Complete every field of the application form and confirm ability to attend the Annual Conference.
  • Must have never attended a NAGARA annual conference.
  • Submit a resume.
  • Submit a statement of support from the applicant's current supervisor confirming their support for the applicant to participate in the Annual Conference should they be selected.

Recipients Must:

  • Write an article documenting their reflections on being a first-time attendee that may be published in the NAGARA quarterly newsletter or other promotional materials.
  • Attend the NAGARA Annual Business Meeting (Thursday, July 20, 2023) during the Annual Conference

Additional Information:

  • Recipients will be featured in NAGARA conference promotions and newsletters and be recognized at the conference.
