SESSION 1:
"Preventing a Nightmare in a World without Microfilm: How Local Governments are Leading the Charge in Digital Preservation"

OVERVIEW: We are living in a reality where microfilm has become increasingly difficult to find, let alone create. Advocacy starts from the ground up, and this panel discussion will explore how local governments in the State of Ohio are advocating for standardization, best practices, and sustainability in the digital preservation of permanent records in a world without microfilm. By working together with various State organizations, we hope this leads to meaningful changes - no tricks, just treats in 2027.
