2018 Spring Regional Forum

2018 Spring Regional Forum
NAGARA brings training closer to home with this one-day Regional Forum dedicated to improving the skills & talents of the government archives & records administration community.

Date & Time: Friday, May 4, 2018 | 7:30AM - 4PM EST

Themes: Records Management | Email Management | Shared Drive Organization | E-Discovery | Policy & Procedure | Cyber Security

Overview: The role of records manager or archivist may seem simple and straight forward, but that is hardly the reality! Our role is ever expanding. Today our profession doesn’t just manage boxes and paper files, but we have to manage electronic files as well. There is more than meets the eye and more at stake than ever before. By the nature of electronic records, records managers and archivists play a role in training, risk management, public records, data privacy and security, and litigation support. NAGARA’s 2018 Spring Forum will highlight a few of these expanding roles where the records manager’s input and engagement is crucial, while offering practical, implementable solutions that will help to get your electronic records organized and under control. These solutions, in turn, will make you an invaluable asset to your organization and team members in other departments across your organization as you contribute to the efficiencies, compliance and safeguards that stem from a solid records management program.

NAGARA is excited to bring valuable educational sessions on salient topics closer to the homes of those living in the New England Region of the United States! In addition to the NAGARA Webinar Series – which provides all NAGARA members access to educational training sessions from the comfort of their own home or office – government archivists and record administrations may now attend this Regional Forum to obtain LIVE educational training at a reasonable rate!
