OVERVIEW: Information Governance is a journey - and it doesn't always follow a straight path or happen overnight. Sometimes you don't even know you are on the path until you stumble across it. This webinar presentation, sponsored by NAGARA Strategic Partner GovQA, will present the journey of the City of Seattle that started as requirements for an Electronic Records Management System and took a turn toward establishing an Information Governance Board. The journey towards a formal Information Governance Board is currently shaping the relationship of Information Technology, Records Management and Legal working together on IG issues. Areas that will be discussed during the presentation include the challenges of the City, the hurdles faced, how these obstacles were overcome, and how staff navigates the path to ensure continued success.
