2020 Summer Online Forum: Mining Our Past, Engineering Our Future

NAGARA’s 2020 Summer Online Forum adopts the theme “Mining Our Past, Engineering Our Future” from this year’s now-cancelled Annual Conference. The sessions and presentations you’ll enjoy during this one-day cyber event parallel both the Forum theme and the work we do as government information professionals. We mine the past through making government information accessible and learning about professional best practices to replicate at our institutions. We engineer our future by providing a bridge between the public and government and working to ensure our organizations adapt to the changing information landscape. This Online Forum covers a broad spectrum of salient topics, including:

  •  Cleaning up email with “no tech” solutions;
  • Sharing lessons learned administering government records management programs;
  • Handling legacy paper storage rooms and retention schedules;
  • Protecting privacy information and its impacts on mining data; and
  • Refining record series and considering correspondence formats.

We invite you to review the PowerPoint, handouts, and recordings from each of the sessions from this online event by clicking the links below.

Forum registrants can access the session recordings below. All NAGARA members will obtain complimentary access to these recordings on January 1, 2021. NAGARA members and non-members alike may purchase access to these recordings at any time by e-mailing info@nagara.org (members: $49; non-members $79).
