About This Webinar
Overview
While AI continues to do amazing things in records automation and digital file cleanup, many records professionals are still dealing with lingering stashes of paper records or digital hoards that cannot easily benefit from the latest technology.
This webinar explores how to approach those records when budgets are tight, every situation is different, and the contents are not fully known. Attendees hear ten case examples focused on demystifying and cleaning up "dead records," along with practical strategies for identifying what records are without digging through every box, pile, and file.
Case Examples Include:
- The hazardous archival records
- The disaster extension office
- The deadline cleanup and the policy that caused it
- The corporate retail storeroom
- The misplaced dental records
- The off-site hospital patient records cleanup
- The insurance provider with over 300 boxes off-site
- The working folders cleanup at a dental school
- The old shared drive stash from an extension office
- The records that are not quite dead yet
After attending this presentation, participants leave with actionable strategies, spreadsheets, resources, and case examples that illustrate what worked (and what did not) when demystifying dead records and reducing paper and digital ROT.
